Brief History
After Taiwan's Teacher Education Act was promulgated in 1994, the preparation of primary and secondary school teachers became more diverse. NSYSU brought together faculty from across its departments to give students opportunities to take part in education.

1994
The Teacher Education Act was promulgated on February 7, opening multiple pathways into primary and secondary teacher education.
Academic Year 1995–96
In the first semester, NSYSU's Common Courses Division launched the Teacher Education Program Center. Its first secondary education cohort enrolled 50 students.
Academic Year 2000–01
NSYSU introduced its primary school teacher education program.
